Undated (1831-1834) Christopher Bechtler $1. K-1. Rarity-4. 30.G., Star. Reeded Edge. MS-61 (PCGS).
Rare and Desirable Mint State Bechtler $1
Charming olive-gold surfaces are further enhanced by even more vivid copper-gold iridescence at the borders. Lustrous and satiny, the surfaces also reveal modest semi-reflective tendencies in the protected areas around the devices. Minimally abraded for the grade, with a "fresh look" and exceptional eye appeal in a Bechtler gold coin. Furthermore this is a condition rarity of the highest order with only a few seen in full Mint State condition. This is one of the finer pieces known of this issue and would certainly make a welcome addition to any advanced collection.
PCGS Population: 4; 6 are finer (Mint State-63 finest) within the 30.G. Star variety.
