The Desh Family Collection

The Desh Family Collection

By Greg Cohen, Professional Numismatist & Consignment Director, U.S. & World Coins

Offered in the Stack’s Bowers Galleries Official Auction of the Whitman Coin & Collectibles Baltimore Expo is the Desh Family Collection. The collection was assembled from the 1940s to the 1960s by a midwestern dry goods merchant and grocer, and includes interesting groupings of coins, mostly from the 1800s.
