1800 Draped Bust Half Dime. LM-3, V-2. Rarity-4. LIBEKTY. AU-50 (NGC).
A minimally patinated, silver-gray piece that has come down to us having acquired only light wear. Satiny mint luster is still partially discernible, the surfaces also free of sizeable abrasions that could have distracted the eye. A few areas are lightly struck, but the overall definition is quite bold for a late die state example from the 1800 LM-3 marriage. A cud-like die break is evident at the obverse rim before the date, and an area of die damage on the reverse has obscured the scroll at the letters BUS in PLURIBUS--these features are as struck. A very nice AU that is sure to sell for a solid bid.
