1842 Liberty Seated Silver Dollar. MS-63 (NGC).
Light golden-russet toning accents the devices with patches of sky and teal blue on the rims. The strike is sharp throughout on each star and the eagle's talons. A few trace hairlines are present on the rims when closely examined but the surfaces are generally pleasing for an early Seated dollar. Precious few of these survived in high grade, let alone mint state, where choice pieces are always in strong demand by type and date collectors.
