1723 Wood's Hibernia Halfpenny. Martin 4.46-Gd.2, W-13570. Rarity-5. MS-62 BN (PCGS).
112.8 grains. This is an intermediate die state for the obverse die and late die state for the reverse. Handsome brown throughout and clean surfaces are noted, with minimal signs of handling. A few shallow rust marks are found in the fields from the die itself crossing the fields at the center of the obverse. Scarce and desirable at this grade level and a fine coin to own and study.
Pedigree: From the Ted L. Craige Collection. Paper envelope included.
