1723 Wood's Hibernia Halfpenny. Martin 4.33-Gb.2, W-13120. Rarity-3. MS-64 RB (PCGS).
113.7 grains. The obverse has more mint color than the reverse, but both are attractive with ample mint luster and outstanding surfaces. Middle to late die state as clashing is noted at the top of the obverse and the legend is drawn toward the rim. Die chipping has filled the 7 and there is a minor stain around that area, mentioned for future provenance tracking. Light die crumbling on the neck and mouth.
Pedigree: From the Ted L. Craige Collection. Paper envelope included.
