1830 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-120. Rarity-1. Large 0. MS-64 (PCGS).
Tied with one or possibly two others as the finest for the variety of this die pairing, and a handsome coin overall. The surfaces show a silver-gray patina on the lower obverse with more of a golden-russet tone on the upper half and over most of the reverse. The strike is sharp on Liberty's curls and there is ample luster in the fields. The surfaces are delightful, clean and free of all but minute signs of contact.
