Description

1723 Wood's Hibernia Farthing. Martin 3.15-Bc.9, W-12350. Rarity-5. DEI. GRATIA. REX. AU-55 (PCGS).

66.4 grains. A glossy deep golden-tan specimen that is easy on the eye. The devices are bold for the grade, the high points with a touch of softness that reflects its short stay in pocket change. Magnified scrutiny provides a few tiny ticks but no marks of major importance can be found. A definitely choice example of the date and grade combination.

PCGS#: 176

Pedigree: From the Ted L. Craige Collection. Richard Picker paper envelope with attribution notation included.
