Description

1723 Wood's Hibernia Farthing. Martin 2.1-Bc.1, W-12350. Rarity-5. DEI. GRATIA. REX--Double Struck--MS-63 BN (PCGS).

58.2 grains. The obverse and reverse are both double struck in a fairly dramatic way. Toned light brown in general, save for a large area of darker patina in the left obverse field on this intriguing coin. Usual light die crack on the upper reverse, and the surfaces are pleasing in terms of contact marks.

PCGS#: 176

Pedigree: From the Ted L. Craige Collection. Paper envelope with attribution notation included.
