Excellent Results in the Stack’s Bowers Galleries Official Auction at the ANA World’s Fair of Money

We are excited to
announce the results from some of the bigger lots sold at our ANA auction last
week in Rosemont, Illinois.

An Upper Canada 1 Dollar
Note from 1831 brought an incredible $8,400 USD in lot 30105. Other strong results for the country of
Canada were the Upper Canada 4 Dollar that sold in lot 30106 for $4,800, as well as a Royal Bank of Canada 50
Dollar
note that realized
$7,200.

An incredible section of
notes from India crossed the block. Included in this section was a set of
Persian Gulf Notes that brought $26,400 in lot 30223. This lot paired well with the 100 Rupees that
sold for $60,000 in lot 30225. An uncirculated 2 Rupees 9 Annas was also
notable, selling for $24,000 in lot 30226

The standout section of
the sale featured notes from the Philippines with an Unlisted 1904 5 Rupees
selling for $26,400 in lot 30355. In lot 30378, an impressive 1906 500 pesos brought $40,800.
Also notable was the 10 pesos from 1912 in lot 30380 that brought $21,600.

As we move toward the
January 2020 New York International Numismatic Convention auction, we expect
the Philippines market to continue to attract impressive results, while Canada
continues to sell strong. We are currently collecting consignments for both the
New York International, and the October Collectors Choice Online Sale. To
