The American Numismatic Association (ANA) has once again selected Stack’s Bowers Galleries as an official auctioneer for its most important convention of the year: the World’s Fair of MoneySM. Held mid-summer in popular locations across the country, the World’s Fair of Money is the nation’s premier money show, featuring the most expansive educational programs and best numismatic inventory of any summer show.

Stack’s Bowers Galleries is pleased to announce the addition of Brad Ciociola to its currency division. Ciociola brings a wealth of currency and grading experience to Stack’s Bowers Galleries, and begins his position with the firm in January 2014.

This year’s convention saw nearly 2,000 collectors, dealers and enthusiasts from around the world cross the bourse threshold at the historic Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City. The convention floor was a beehive of buying and selling activity during the day, and the auction gallery was standing room only during the evening hours. The Stack’s Bowers Galleries event garnered over $5 million in sales when all was said and done.

In just a few short days, Stack’s Bowers Galleries will be hosting its annual New York Americana Sale February 5 in its private auction gallery, located at 110 West 57th Street, and will resume February 6 at the Le Parker Méridien. Coins, tokens, medals and related items from the United States will be crossing the block during this very popular event.
