DESCRIPTION
Elusive Full Red Gem 1917-D Cent
Only 1 Finer at CAC

1917-D Lincoln Cent. MS-65+ RD (PCGS). CAC.
This is a virtually untouched Gem with considerable matte-like texture blanketing the fields. The surfaces are fully original and essentially untoned, displaying subtle hints of peach and rose across each side. Nicely struck for the issue and lacking in notable abrasions beneath a glass.
A noteworthy condition rarity of this 55,120,000-piece issue, it ranks among the finest survivors known. Most examples are found in grades of MS-64 and below, usually with varying shades of Brown or Red Brown toning. This Full Red Gem is a noteworthy exception, with just 9 coins certified finer by PCGS and only 1 listed higher at CAC.
Estimate: $3,750 - $0.
