Superior Gem 1893 Nickel
Only 2 Finer at PCGS

1893 Liberty Head Nickel. MS-66+ (PCGS). CAC.
A lustrous and untroubled Gem with original and attractive toning. Warm lemon-yellow and honey-gold color dominates the obverse, while the reverse is more lightly toned in bronze and olive-gold shades. Satiny across the devices and more matte-like in the fields without any significant abrasions under a glass. Just 2 are finer at PCGS while only a single coin sits higher at CAC, making this an ideal Registry Set candidate.
Although Mint State survivors from this 13,368,000-piece circulation strike issue are readily obtainable in an absolute sense, poor definition and inferior luster quality conspire to keep most in lower grades through MS-64. This MS-66+ (PCGS) CAC is a true strike and condition rarity that is sure to please even the most discerning Liberty Head nickel enthusiast.
